Pet ownership is on the rise across the country. Today, 51% of U.S. households (68 million) own a dog, while 37% (49 million) share their homes with a cat.

Canidae's "Refill don't landfill" OOH Advertising Campaign

Canidae, a premium pet food brand, partnered with PJX Media to promote its eco-friendly kibble refill stations, available exclusively at select Petco locations.


There were two goals of the OOH campaign:


  • Educate pet owners on a more sustainable way to shop

  • Encourage trial of a new refill model designed to reduce packaging waste


PJX Media supported the launch with a multi-market OOH campaign. The activation ran for four weeks and featured a mix of static and digital billboards, along with posters, across key markets including Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, and Tampa.


The OOH ads focused on benefits to the consumer, encouraging pet owners to rethink how they purchase food for their pets. With highly visible formats in high-traffic areas, Canidae's OOH campaign introduced a new offering to their audience while positioning themselves as an innovator in sustainable pet care.


Petzey's OOH Advertising Campaign


Petzey is a pet healthcare platform that connects pet parents with licensed veterinary professionals for on-demand consultations, all through a mobile app. With a straightforward, affordable model, the brand wanted to increase awareness among pet owners who value convenience, speed, and trusted care, while staying within a defined budget.


To create a big moment in Las Vegas, a large-format digital billboard (also known as a spectacular) was selected on the Las Vegas Strip. The corner spectacular had synchronized screens, allowing Petzey to reach busy pet parents.


With an emphasis on digital OOH and minimal lead time to consider, PJX and Petzey were able to move quickly for the launch of the campaign. The result was strong brand moment in a premium environment, with Petzey showcasing its product with awesome creative.

Out-of-Home Advertising Ideas for Pet Brands
